It's taken a robust team of passionate professionals who bring diverse skills, experiences, and heart to everything we do. Greg Spencer
Greg Spencer, founder/emeritus of Toccoa House Properties, discovered the magic of the Blue Ridge Mountains during a backpacking trip to the Cohutta Wilderness in the 1980s. Since his roots harken back to his grandfather's large ranch on Bear Lake founded in 1900, covering both Idaho and Utah, he felt naturally drawn to a rural mountainous and riverfront property. After 'planting his flag' in 1991, having put $500 down and signing a 10-year seller financing note, on two acres right on the river (mostly to store his kayak, bike, fishing rod, etc.). The firepit he built in 1991 next to the river, is still there in front of The Toccoa Riverside Treehouse, and used often. Greg went on to slowly acquire 15 more acres of contiguous pristine riverfront land. Armed with a master's degree in planning he utilized his acquired skills to design, engineer, and build the entire infrastructure, all cabins, and amenities. As a family-owned and operated retreat, Greg has delegated reservations, management, and housekeeping to our stellar team. His company is also a proud member of the Blue Ridge Lodging Association, reflecting his commitment to trusted accommodations and exceptional standards. Greg's long held mission to deliver a hospitality experience that surpasses typical rental agencies has been passed on to the current generation, making each stay at Toccoa House both personal and unforgettable.

Based in sunny Orlando, Florida, I’m a lifelong motorsports enthusiast with a deep love for race cars and endurance racing. When I’m not trackside or capturing the action, I work as a Senior Support Engineer in the cybersecurity field, where precision and problem-solving are key. I’m also the property manager of Toccoa House Property, balancing performance, reliability, and attention to detail—whether it’s securing systems, managing property, or chasing the thrill of endurance racing.
